I am sure anyone interested in vintage tube sound equipment will be impressed with this little FM tuner. This would be a real nice addition to an "all tube" stereo system.This is a 1964 Harman Kardon Inc. Plainview, N.Y. Model F-10 Tempo Tube FM tuner.  Harmon Kardon was (and still is) a high end audio sound systems company that has always made expensive, high end, audio equipment for home use. This model F-10 Tempo is a fine example of their handy work. It is the best tuner I have ever had.It is unbelievable how many FM stations that it receives with complete clarity. It needed some servicing when I bought it. It was inspected, cleaned, and re-capped with higher value filter capacitors. The tubes were tested with a Heathkit tube tester and all passed with flying colors except one. That tube was replaced with a NOS Telefunken twin triode. The tube compliment is: (1) Telefunken EF 85/6AQ8(1) EF 85/6AQ8 Harman Kardon labeled Tungsram, (1) Harman Kardon labeled 6AL5 and (3) Harman Kardon labeled 6AU6 Austria. I have a video at the top of the listing to show you how great the stations come in. This Tuner works flawlessly. No unwanted noises, just clear radio waves.The video doesn't do this Tuner justice, sound wise, but it will give you an idea of how well it tunes in random radio stations . I have several radios in the house and high end radios in my vehicles, but none pick up all of the stations as clear as this Tube Tuner. The sound is so warm. I have it plugged into a 1965 Sherwood Tube amplifier, and Wow, what a match.Harman Kardon still supports these Tuners so you won't have a problem finding someone to repair it, should it ever need it. (I doubt it) It's been worked on once in 44 years, and that was just to replace worn out capacitors and tubes.I have a copy of the original owners manual with the schematics included. Some features this has is the Armstrong circuit with Limiter and wide bank discriminator, Automatic Frequency Control, low noise front End consisting of Tuned Triode Grounded Grid Amplifier and Triode Mixer.I have a low reserve of $39.99 on this because I have some money invested in repairs. The tubes are worth that. When you get this Tuner, it will be plug and play.
