The difference between the 2 wire types is in the shielding. Dual shield wire has 2 shielding layers to stop signal loss or signal from saturating into the wire from outside sources. Quad Shield has 4 shielding layers and is a heavier and more expensive wire but has a much higher signal retention and nearly no signal saturation. Identifying areas where dual or quad shield may be needed is actually pretty easy if you just follow the list bellow and judge the need. If the decision is still difficult you might just want Quad shield as a safe choice. These are just a few examples and all aren't listed please contact if you are still unsure but in both cases the wire is highest quality.
