Description
NOS NIB MATCHED pair of Bendix made, Cetron logo 6384 vacuum tubes. NOS: new old stock; NIB: new in box. Test extremely high at 11,000 ohmos plus. Ruggedized top quality radar military stock, JAN Bendix Red Bank type. Electrically interchange with KT77, KT88 with socket adapter or rewire. These are beautiful weighty tubes with ceramic bases and black plates. One of the premier output tubes ever made. They are nearly identical to the 6889s with no plate cap. When tested the 6384 against Gold Lion and Gold Monarch KT88s, TungSol 6550s, Mullard and Tele EL34s, including metal base, EL37s, KT77s, KT66s and several other highly regarded output tubes: No Contest! The 6384 is superior in every aspect of audio sensory perception. Much more rugged contruction; overbuilt during Cold War Era to survive nuclear attack. For some unbiased praises of this Red Bank Series check out Vacuum Tube Valley's article: http://www.vacuumtube.com/issue5.htm Exerpt: "So it's safe to say: you won't see the likes of this tube again. (6384) The base is some kind of ceramic material, and is one of the few ceramic octal bases I have ever seen. The construction is the same luxurious style as the 6094, with all-ceramic spacers and a heater block.... Extreme scarcity means we had only one 6384 to test... The plate rating is 750 volts at 30 watts, which is outrageous for a 6L6 type and more typical of the infamous Mullard EL37..." If you adore tubes and appreciate the best sound and a great value, you must have these beauties!!! International bidders welcome!!!
