LTD., and distributed under several other brand names.  The Ferrograph model has some very unique and useful features built into the reel.  The hub has a thumb activated release that pinches onto the end of your tape to secure it during winding, yet not forceful enough to cause breakage of the tape when playback is completely unwound.   Also there is another spring-loaded device that causes the center hub to actually clamp onto the spindle (see photo and look for the "To Remove" label and arrow).  This feature actually eliminates the use of rubber reel locks to secure the tape onto the reel table.  Or, this reel can be used with models with spring-loaded reel locks.   Either way, this reel is loaded with some very useful and clever features that are not common among others.This reel will fit a few 7" reel models and all 8.25" or 10.5" size reel tape recorders.  Originally designed for the European market, and compatible with vintage European configurations.  The second photo is for demonstration purposes only, and illustrates the difference in size and appearance of this reel as compared to the smaller 7" variety.  This auction is for the 8.25" reel only!   Great shape...no dings or scars, some minor rubbings...solid and straight.  So, if you're an enthusiast or collector who appreciates the finer analog accessories, this may well be the auction for you.  Seldom seen but highly prized item.  Please review photos formore detail.  Well crafted item worthy of a second look.  You decide!!  Successful bidder must contact me within three calendar days of end of auction, AND, payment must be received/transfered within eight calendar days.  Your bid indicates that you agree with these provisions.
