There were only a few years where Ampex manufactured the 6L6 30 Watt amps.You are bidding on a pair of the MOST POWERFUL Ampex amplifiers ever made for their high quality Home Audio.  This pair of amps features 30 TUBE Watts per channel! They are used in the MOST expensive console Ampex ever made driving a pair of Altec 803-B woofers, JBL Midrange and Electro-Voice T-35B horn tweeters.  The cost on this console was over $2900 in 1959!!   That's approaching $19k in today's dollars!!These amps each use a pair of 6L6/7581, a ECC82/12AU7/7316, an EF86/6267/Z729. We do not know if these are ultrlinear, but I have also seen this described as a Williamson circuit.  I don't know enought about electronics to know whether this is correct, but there are numerous Williamson circuits that use this same tube combination! It apeears that one of transformers have been replaced at some point with a high quality Triad transformer, but you can see in the detailed pictures above of the insides of the amps they are almost identical except for one new capacitor.
