And being a high current amplifier (GFA-535MarkII), with the volume control located on the CD player, and bypassing a preamp stage, you get an amazingly clean sound from a very small system. If you just listen to CD players and aren't listening in a huge room but rather a smaller area like office or den, this is probably the cleanest sound system you'll find under $1500. It will blow the doors off anything NAD makes in the 60-80 watt range, and it's a 4 ohm system too just like NAD, so it will put out close to a 100 watts of high current power at a lower load, 4 ohms, it's rated at 80 watts but in one of those rare moments they actually understated the output, I 've never actually hooked it up to a scope and tested it but it sounds way better than most stuff in it's power class, and it's a high current amp capable of really driving 4 ohm speakers which means you can go out and get yourself a pair of really nice exotic smaller speakers and they will sound like they are supposed to, even the more exotic 4 ohm speakers.
