This Audience aR12 Power Conditioner is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. Just the parts cost for the capacitors in the aR12 would cost more to manufacture then a typical power conditioners whole unit Unit comes with the famous Audience powerChord – 6ft. – This superb 10 AWG chord with the twist on and locking Neutrik 20A allows audience to provide a removable chord that still delivers very high current. No standard IEC removable cord can offer this level of current flow and Audience doesn’t stop there including a Marinco power connector to plug into your wall outlet. Magnetic Circuit Breaker Power Switch – Why magnetic? – most circuit breakers work off the amount of heat generated to establish their trip point. This is a real problem in a component that needs to deliver high current instantanlesly. When the heat rises so does resistance. So when a typical power conditioner is operating at capacities closer to its maximum it actual performs less efficiently in delivering current.To reduce resistance even further - all the electrical circuitry in the aR12 is circuitry Cryogenically treated.
