Ericofon Panton ' Description This auction is for a very rare and amazing vintage Italian telephone. I do not know much about this phone, but the style is one of a kind! Made of heavy weight red plastic (weights in at 1.4 pounds), that because of the age I would guess that it is bakelite (will leave that up to you to decide). An an early flip phone, Picture #2 shows is closed or off. Picture #1 shows it opening and #3 shows it ready to be used. The are no makers marks on the phone, but there is a sticker on the back that reads "I. M. T. E. Via Monteoliato 86 Tel. 321546322798 NA Riparazione del: 063". What we could make of it is that it's the "in need of repair" contact info in italian. Comes with original cord that is good clean shape with just a couple of light dots of paint. Would need an us phone adaptor for use. I have no way in checking to see if it works, so this is being sold as is. The phone has a rotary dial that works very smoothly. Measures: 2 1/4 inches high, 8 inches long and 3 1/4 inches deep. Overall the phone is in good shape the pictures show the wear very well. There are no chips, breaks or cracks to the finish. On the arms that lift, there is wear to the edges (see photo) and has a few deep scratches to the mouth and ear piece. There are light scratches all over the phone, but it still shows very well, shines! A must for any Panton mod home or phone collection!! Please let me know if you have any questions etc..
