My husband purchased this metal detector in May of this year and he has no idea how to use it. Even though, he has no experience working with metal detectors he insisted on buying this one! This metal detector is definitely for the "more advanced" treasure hunter rather than a beginner. We paid a lot of money for this machine, and my husband might have been able to learn how to use it correctly if he weren't so impatient, but I hate to see that much money go to waste. My husband used it twice and he gave up after that, so it was used for a total of 3 maybe 4 hours if that. It must be a good machine considering how much it costs, it just needs someone who knows what their doing to operate it!
