It was known throughout the world for its fine styling and superb tone quality.  It has an all wood cabinet with handpainted trim. Even the speaker cloth is a remake of the original.  The radio's tuner and speakers were seleted to give you the best in updated technology and audio fidelity and it brings to you that great sound you expect from a Grundig Radio. A great conversation piece with an astonishing sound for a small table radio. ( The dimensions are 15.25 inches long  11.25" high and 6.5" deep). Tuning Ranges: FM  88   -   108 MHz AM 530 - 1710 KHz SW  3.2  - 21.75 MHz It has a built in ferrite bar antenna and an external antenna terminal (The auxiliary Shortwave Antenna mentioned in the Instruction Book is NOT included with this radio.  2 side (2W) and 1 center (10W) Speakers.  Also special auxiliary inputs are provided for use with a CD player, tape recorder or VCR.   Quick History: In 1945 right after the end of WW II Germany and most Radios were in ruins or need of repair. New Radios were not available.  Radio Dealer Max Grundig started by building the first two Grundig appliances, a Tube tester and another Testing Device. Shortly thereafter the GRUNDIG HEINZELMANN was born. It became a Best Seller in the following years and already in 1949 the HEINZELMANN number 150 000 was produced.  In 1950 Grundig already had more than 1000 employees and the next model( the FIRST Grundig Push-Button  Radio) the Classic  960,  a replica of which is listed here, followed. All electrical, radio and electronic equipment is bench tested to make sure it is in good operating condition and is sold as USED and AS IS and no warranty whatsoever is expressed or implied. Please bid accordingly.  The radios we have were purchased as part of a package deal with other electronic equipment  at the closure of an electronic warehouse (all items were sold as is - where is-  This is why they are sold as used).  They come in original boxes (with instructions) some marked as display models  or cosmetic and some with no markings at all.  They all are in great condition, safe some minor scratches or nicks, that we are sure , can be polished out -- most of them are 95% clean and will be shipped first.  We will indicate and show a picture when we come to one with noticable  scratches or nicks (and discount it) - the camera or scanner will not pick up tiny scratches or nicks   -- the one's we ran across so far were really small  and most were sold to a friend.  We think they were store displays  We test them prior to shipment and so far all work perfect otherwise they will not be shipped.
