Description
Thank you for taking the time to view this auction. Up for sale is an HH Scott Stereo-Master tuner model 350D. This is the last FM radio tube type tuner that Scott made! It is also one of the 2 Scott models to have a linear slide rule type tuning dial. It is the final evolution of the 350 series, the ONLY Scott tuner to use a sidewinder mounted tuning gang. This model also has an autosensor, Mono/MPX switching, and a 'Magic Tuning Eye' for the signal strength meter. The nine tube compliment: 12AT7, 6KE8, 12AX7, 6EJ7, 6HS6, (2) 6U8, 6BS8, and 6HU6 tuning eye tube. All the tubes test good. Some of the tubes are Scott, some are Telefunken. Luckily this must have been stored in a dry environment. I have listened to this tuner for several days and none of the capacitors blew so that is good! This tuner has awesome reception. With only a piece of speaker wire for an aerial I was able to tune in KZEL which is difficult on my other radios. (it's over the hill from here) Again I say, awesome reception. It does not hum or crackle. Everything works like it should except it need some new light bulbs for the dial. The sidegang tuner has been cleaned and lubed. It is all original, nothing hacked. Just needs the screw on feet or a wooden case. Please check my auctions for similar items... Cosmetic condition- It needs the gold caps for the knobs, and the faceplate has the previous deceased owners SS number engraved on the upper edge. (estate sale find) Possibly you can put that piece of trim on the bottom? Otherwise this tuner looks really nice as you can see in the photos. The photo is taken in the bright sun so it makes it looks silver when it is actually gold in color. Buyer to pay shipping. There is no reserve so bid bid bid. Thank you, James
