Description
Walnut cabinet is in superb condition. No sun fading or liquid stains. No scratches. No surface bubbling. No compression marks or bumps. Oiled regularly. Wood grain finish remains rich and dark. All edges are sharp. All corners are clean and tight. Curved front panel is in flawless condition. One-and only one-cosmetic disclosure (shown in photos): a 1/2'' x 1/4'' chip on the lower edge of the right-hand side of cabinet. All components are original and fully functional. Drivers and crossovers work perfectly. Nothing has ever been replaced or repaired. Nothing has ever been re-coned. Surrounds are in excellent condition: slight hardening, no cracking. Red seals are original and untouched. No disclosures on components. This paragon continues to have excellent sound throughout the entire dynamic range. Serial Numbers: Cabinet Stamp 964 (both sides), Serial Plaque #41790, LE15As (22268 / 22272), 375s (13985 / 13999), 075s (82699 / 82710), LX5s (23931 / 23960), N7000s (15455 / 14885). This is a one-owner, factory-original paragon and has always been located in a living room, never an unfinished basement, garage, storage facility, or outside. It is registered in the Lansing Heritage Serial Number Registry. The buyer will find this paragon exactly as described and pictured. This is as superb a mid-production series paragon as you will likely be able to find, and it compares very well to the 8-10 others auctioned in 2008. For collectors, the close serial-number pairs, factory originality, and pristine cosmetic condition makes it a prize. For investors, this unit will only appreciate over time. This is the first item offered for auction by the seller. Because of the first-time seller status and the high value of the item, the seller (Jason) can be reached at (403) 475-8004 between 9 am and 6 pm Mountain Time (GMT - 7 hours) or at bristowj@shaw.ca. On-site inspection is welcome and encouraged. No reserve. To be fair to all bidders, the seller will not stop the auction early. The seller wishes to thank Don, John, and "Oldmics," all from the Lansing Heritage discussion forum for advice, inspection, and photographs. This paragon was described as "very impressive," "pristine," and "pretty damn good" by some of these experienced individuals. Terms of Sale: Ships worldwide from near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Buyer assumes all responsibility and all costs from crating it up to final delivery. Non-North American buyers should be advised that the total costs for delivery may be considerable. The seller will help find a delivery option, if requested. Payment by approved method only: bank wire transfer, bank cashier's check (on a US or Canadian bank). Paypal is not accepted, so disregard the payment option below. Winning bidder must contact seller within 2 days of auction end and all funds must be received within 10 days of auction end or transaction will be considered incomplete. Item will be released for shipping once all funds clear without holds or conditions. All bidders please contact seller before placing a bid.
