BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! NEAR MINT! Made in the USA! Receiver SN 011116, Speaker SN 009605   This radio is from my personal collection. I had planned to keep it, but I have too many radios and have to let some go.   Here is a beautiful KLH tube radio and matching speaker. There were a few variations on the Model Eight—some were solid walnut, later ones were walnut veneer. Earlier ones all had black knobs, SOME later ones had white (ivory) knobs to match the super-rare Model Thirteen. This is a later, furniture-grade veneer cabinet with "white" knobs. This radio was in great shape when I bought it and for that reason I have done NO restoration work to the wood, other than replacing a very small veneer chip and applying a coat of wax. The veneer patch is about 1/4" and is shown by the arrow in photo #12. Being about 45 years old, there are also some scratches on the top of the receiver and one on the speaker. These are visible in the photos. There is a nick in the top front edge of the receiver cabinet above the dial, visible in photos 1 & 2. Overall, as you can see from the photos, this radio looks beautiful!   Cork feet were added to the bottom of the speaker cabinet. The speaker originally did not have any feet, but this will avoid scratching. They are easily removable.   The previous owner apparently replaced the big multi-section electrolytic cap.
