Description
Here is your chance. If you ever heard of and wanted one of these babys, you'll never find a nicer one!! A long time ago, I drove to another ham's qth to purchase a Drake rig. Well, I did...but also bought this receiver. Only because the owner purchased it to mate with a TS820, but then lost the transceive cable used to connect the two and never got the TS820. So, the receiver was never used, and too pristine to pass up!!. I kept it for many years because it is just perfect, and beautiful. You won't see me writing "The only issue is..." or "The only inperfection is..." No, this beauty looks like new...top, bottom, left, right. Always covered up, turned on now and then to keep it happy. EVEN THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL LOOKS LIKE NEW!! Oh, here is the best part...If you've been on ebay a while, you have surely read "no additional options included" Well that's 'cuz a lot of the type on here rip out all the options to make a few extra bucks. You KNOW what happens when you solder a filter in and out a bunch of times! No, I'm not gutting this beauty! You get it with the optional AM filter, and .5KHz in one IF and .5 and .25 in the other IF. This way, all the settings on the selectivity switch work. So, being an early '80s rig, it doesn't have frequency entry select, or memories....but I will say that the notch, if shift, and the selectivity are better than that of my 1000D or Omni VI+...both with all the tight filters. One interesting note is...the S meter reads out in S units as well as db/uV! The only reason I'm selling this...and some of the other very nice rigs I'm listing....well, those melted milk jug kayaks are expensive!!!
