Complete restoration of one pair of Klipsch Klipschorn speaker cabinets by Greg Roberts Please note, this is a restoration service only, the speakers are not included   Details:   Ø      Speakers will be delivered or shipped to and picked up from my shop in Benton, Maine by the Owner Ø      Owner will remove all components prior to shipping or delivery and Owner will re-install all components after pickup of restored cabinets Ø      50% deposit required with delivery of speakers, balance due at pickup or before shipping the speakers back Ø      “C” style cabinets with the K400 mid horn       Once I receive the cabinets at my shop, I’ll:   Ø      Disassemble them Ø      Repair/wood-fill and sand all panels in preparation for veneering Ø      Install new 10-mil paper-backed rosewood veneer (other species available) with the iron-on method using Heatlock glue Ø      Paint all back areas and panels with satin black paint Ø      Install new screens and trim to cover the back horn-mouth areas Ø      Install new rubber seals on the sides of the tailboards Ø      Take old grill cloth off, fix any broken grill frames, and install new black original-style grill cloth Ø      Finish the new veneer with 2 coats of satin spray lacquer Ø      Re-assemble, clean and detail in preparation for pickup or shipping Ø      All materials necessary for the veneering, finish, painting, screens, rubber seals, and grill cloth are included   To see a very detailed webpage of a very similar restoration job that I did to a pair of 1974 Khorns, please click here www.dcchomes.com/Mkhorn.html   Other costs that may or could be incurred: Ø      Shipping both ways Ø      The cost for you to bring them to me, and/or for me to meet you half way Ø      Changing “C” style cabinets to “B” style $600 Ø      Different species of veneer      Ø      Packing or crating so they can be shipped   Lots of other options available too, like NOT finishing the backs, which would save $700, or not doing the grills, which would save $625, or having me upgrade components and install and test them.  I can build or restore matching center channel speakers (La Scala or Belle for instance).  I can enclose the backs of the Khorn bass bins.   This is all very custom work, so I work with customers on a one-on-one basis.  Email and we’ll talk.    Please go to this webpage where you can link to my project webpages to see my work www.dcchomes.com/Gregsaudio.html     If you've got an old pair of Khorns that have seen better days, and you'd like to make them look, and/or sound better than new, I can help you.  I will assist with shipping and/or meeting you for pickup.  I work with customers from all over the world, so don't be shy about contacting me if you're out of the U.S.  If you find a pair of Khorns for sale here in ebay that need restoration, you could have them shipped directly to me.    Many references are available for my work, please email and I'll forward names and contact information.  I only do the highest quality of work on these restorations.  As I'm doing the work, I pretend that PWK himself is looking over my shoulder!  I take a great deal of pride in the final result of my work, and I have to say that I've gotten pretty good at this over the last 5 years or so.  It's a hobby, but a very serious one.  The building business is crap right now, so what the heck, let's restore some speakers!    Email with any questions: gregroberts@roadrunner.com     Thanks for looking
