This is a high quality Museum Display suitable for public exhibition in Science displays and Natural Science museums in Australia or for private collection as an exhibit.  This is a uniquely RARE item at a starting price price below that which a Museum would expect to pay in order to commission & import one this size.Touching the outer shell of the glass sphere attracts the constantly moving plasma lighting to the viewer's fingertips.  Undoubtedly the most popular hands-on exhibit at any science fair and museum showcase in the world.This is by far the largest plasma to ever appear on eBay.  The Plasma Ball or 'Plasma Discharge Lamp' in this auction is a one-off museum-grade exhibit.Gassed and glassworked by one of the few plasma artists capable of working with such large scale borosilicate glass spheres, it is brighter and more interactive than the novelty spheres available in stores.  This is a highly desirable exhibit for public or private exhibition.This Plasma display includes the fully gassed and sealed sphere, the electronics driver which has been custom built for this globe and the display base which breaks down into two parts (see illustration).Novelty globes made from plastic and thin soda glass cost between $10 to $100 to buy these days... but the larger, brighter Museum Quality plasmas can cost up to $40,000  - depending on their origins and size.
