I, and several others that I know, uniformly compared our high quality cassette decks to the Pioneer Elite CT-93, and all, without exception acquired the Pioneer and sold off our previously cherished units. The CT-93 is, as it has been for about a decade now, the best cassette deck available. I get a considerable amount of email in this regard, so I thought that this brief explanation might be helpful to anyone with a serious interest. If anyone has further interest with regards to purchasing this remarkable unit, I would be very happy to discuss any questions with regard to the quality of this unit.New & Factory Sealed? New? Absolutely! No; this is not factory sealed; but it may as well be! Upon purchase, the unit was opened for improvements and subsequent tape testing. It has been stored since. The Improvements? The three improvements included Ultra High Quality RCA Connectors, an Ultra High Quality Power Cord with improved grounding, and Ultra High Quality Dampening Feet. None of these improvements fundamentally change the design of this already excellent achievement; they simply allow for the unimpeded realization of the excellent Pioneer Elite Design. The improvements are definitely noticeable and significant. None of these improvements are of the typical hype common to these areas; they are entirely objective and not subjective!  Photographs I am located in the Chicago, Illinois area, so anyone wishing to inspect the unit are welcome to make arrangements with me for the purposes of purchasing.
