The C500-A is known to be the top of the line of the Radio Craftsmen amplifiers. Manufactured in the early 1950's and engineered by Sid Smith who soon thereafter went to work for Marantz. The same Sid Smith who is known world wide for his creation of the Marantz model 2, 5 and 8(b). This pair of amplifiers has had many out of spec parts replaced by parts of equal value so as to not change the circuitry. They are in perfect operating condition and sound fantastic. Cosmetically they are in very good condition. A pair this nice will be hard to find. Serial numbers are fairly close as well - 90587 and 90055.
