The changer hooks up through a modulator, so that whenever you turn the radio to your specified channel, it will activate the changer.  You can even check to see what is on the radio while a CD is playing, without resetting the CD.  (You can pause the CD, and then un-pause it after you return to your CD Changer activating radio station.  The front mounted remote is gully back-lit so you can see it at night, and it will deisplay all the CD Changer status and info including CD #, Track#, and much more.
