Otherwise it functions perfectly and it is a joy to listen to and operate. Unit Condition Summary: Aiwa HST-09 in Black Chrome Red and Turquise Blue Color, has a cosmetic indent mark near the AM FM Blue Label on center of unit above the 5 band Equalizer. Does not affect function of the Radio/Cass/EQ. The Battery Door is present and working; but the Plastic Latch on the body of the unit that is to hold it in place is gone. I inserted two AAA batteries and stuck a Masking Tape or Scotch Tape over the Battery Door and it hold it OK and the unit can operate. See close up pictures on the Battery Latch and bottom of the unit. Except for the above two conditions; All other aspects of this nice collectible unit is in GOOD and Working order. Functional Condition: AM Tuner Operates perfectly and it can pick up stations that my bigger radios cannot detect.   530 Khz to 1600 Khz Range FM Tuner Operates perfectly in Stereo and Mono and has a wonderful LOUD sound that can be adjusted with the 5 band Equalizer. 88 Mhz to 108 Mhz Auto Reverse Dolby Cassette Operates perfectly and works at correct speed and Auto Reverses or Stops properly depending on the control switch setting. The outside and inside the Cassette compartment of this AIWA are very classy and scream QUALITY which is not made any more.  Summary of Unit Switches and Connectors: Two 3.5 mm Stereo Ear Phone Connections...for you and another person. Oper/Batt LED in RED that works fine. Radio-Tape Power Off Switch that works and clicks fine. AM-FM-FM Stereo Switch that works and clicks fine. Tape Stop, Tape FF, Tape REW Push Buttons that work fine. Tape Direction change switch are same as Tape FF and REW and operate fine. Play Push Button works fine; and Direction Indicators show proper Tape Direction. Blue Auto-Rev or Stop and end of tape switch that operates and clicks fine. White Pause switch that operates and clicks fine. White Dolby On or Off switch that operates and clicks fine. White Normal Metal Tape Selector switch that operates and clicks fine. Chrome Tape Stop push button that works fine. 5 Band Equalizer: 100 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 Khz, 3.3 Khz, 10 Khz  that ALL Operate Perfectly.
