Description
Up For Auction:This rare 1960's Lear Jet Stero 8 console package.Sorry about this long description but you deserve all the info that you can get' saves your valuable time and mine!!The reason i have listed this stero as a package, is because i will part it all out for you!! or if i find a willing buyer who wants to buy the console in tact, that would work to, but your looking at some weight !This console stero is very rare'the quality of sound that this unit puts out' is Awesome"the model # is H 470, serial # 30811846.Their is alot of description here' so bare with me!The cabnet size is aprox 4'x3'x3'.As you can see by my 5 photos, i've tried to show you all the electronics and circuit board that comes with this unit. This stero was put out by the Lear jet corperation"William Lear of the Lear Jet corp was the maker of the 1st 8 track tape player that was offered by Ford in the mid 60's as an option around 1966.Items of interest: This console stero has excellent power 117 volts 60 Hz 50 watts, its a combination Stero Amp'its a solid state' sorry' no tubes! It has a "Great" BSR precision crafted turntable made in Britain, with original diamond needles.Their are two spindles with this unit & the original 45 record spindle jack comes with it, that reads on it' BSR , The spindle jack has the original secure snap guard. The 8 track tape player does work, its missing the belt'but the motor works and the drive spins, the track changer button works fine and lights up for each of all four tracks. The AM, FM.FM AFCO FM STERO.Tape & Phono functions work perfectly. And all four knobs on the face plate,Loudness'Bass'Treble'& Balance and the tuning knob all work perfectly. The needle arm & record arm are also in working condition, the lever below the needle arm has 3#'s 12-10-7, also their is an off manual on & Rej.There are four record speeds' 16-33-45-78, all work perfect. The turntable is bolted down to a nice piece of dk 1" fer i believe. The two woofer speakers, one to the left and the other to the right measure 9" in diameter with heavy magnets & no dry-rot whats so ever the #'s on them are 3599408-001, there in excellent condition, along with the two tweeders that measure 3&1/2"x 3&1/2, they are also in excellent condition. The #'s on each of them are 7890465.The face plate measures 14"x 9".The tuner amp measures 12"x6"x6&1/2" wide. The power cord is the original and reads Victor' on the plug. As i said"am willing to part this unit out, some of the items will have some weight to them, mainly the turntable because of the heavy wood. This console with cabnet weighs about 95 lbs with out boxs or packing materials. Sorry i couldn't see if there is a diagram for the wiring inside the cabnet' but the wiring is color coded, and any items that are purchased separately" i will make sure that every possible wire will be in tact, or easy to hook up, will also send instructions, and if i come across any diagrams while parting this unit out, will be happy to include it.And should some one decide that they want to buy this unit straight out" i will work with you in any way i can to save you $$ on the S/H. I use Fed-Ex and have had real good luck with them' plus they offer $100.00 free insurance' and that is a must with these kind of items.I'm also a big believer in packing everything" with great care, plenty of bubble wrap, styrofome, one box inside another, what ever it takes.I appreicate you looking And your e-mails are welcome!! Don't over look this unit' its a rare bird"the power in it is Awesome!! tubes or no tubes!!Thanks for taking the time to read this!!Hope your 4th was a good one!! Good luck bidding!!!articwolf60
