Your bid is for a vintage McIntosh model# C22, stereo pre-amplifier, in original factory case, in very good condition, containing six original Telefunken 12AX7 tubes. This pre amp came from a recent estate sale; disconnected from a complete system. Because of it's age, I cannot guarantee it and I am selling it "as is". I powered it up extremely slowly, (10 volts every 10 minutes), with a variac and it did just fine. Watch my auctions for the matching McIntosh MR71 tuner, also with case. NOTE: This amplifier will be PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT, by none other than me. I worked for a packaging engineer for many years so I know what it takes to deliver this item to you, in perfect condition, anywhere in the world. It will be double boxed with tightly packed padding all around the amp and in between the boxes so that the amp will actually "float" on the cushion inside of the inner box and will not sustain any shock, no matter how badly it's treated on it's journey to you! The reason I do not have a shipping amount in the auction is because the rates vary, depending on how far away you are from California. About my handling fee. I offer my items at very low prices so I charge between $1.50 and $2.50 to cover boxes, bubble wrap, Flopak, tape, pneumatic staples, packing list envelopes, invoices and the time it takes to pack the items up. If the item is very heavy/fragile/big, it may require double boxing which takes more time and materials so the handling fee may be higher.
