Description
This Sony SuperBeta HiFi SL-HF750 is a rare classic.  It’s the machine that Beta connoisseurs lusted after, second only to the anniversary edition Beta and the SL-HF1000.  It is one of the few models that allowed recording in the Beta Is speed in addition to the standard Beta II and III speeds.  It also has the following features:   - 4 head design - Beta HiFi stereo audio - Composite video/stereo audio inputs - Dual composite video/stereo audio outputs - Control S input, Control L input/output - Editing features! Flying erase heads, controller inputs - Real-time (HH:MM:SS) tape counter - Slo-mo playback in forward/reverse, frame advance - Swing Search: 1/10, 1/5, X1, X2 speeds, both forward and backward - Limited on-screen data display.  This is one of the few models that    offered the feature! - Allows simulcast recordings (video from one source, audio from another) - Index marking allows forwarding/rewinding to specific places on tape - 3-week, 6-event timer for recordings (not date-based, no Y2K problems!) - Adjustable audio level controls for recording - “Linear skate” tape loading mechanism (see photos)—unusual     sliding drawer allows tape loading/unloading/viewing while     recording. - Full-featured infrared (IR) remote control with jog/shuttle dial - VHF/UHF/Cable tuner (does not cover all cable channels.)  Count on    using a cable box  for recording from cable.   I am the 3rd owner of this recorder and have had it since 2006 in a non-smoking environment.  It has been well-cared for and is in excellent physical condition, except for a very few, minor scuffs as can be expected from a unit of this vintage.  It has been used very little over the past two years, and has sat on a shelf in my video center for the occasional transferring of an older tape.   Before putting it up for auction, I’ve made a test recording on the unit using all three speeds and have played it back successfully.  (I’m still impressed at the quality of the image of this unit.).  This unit is sold as-is due to its used condition, but it works great !!!!!     The unit does not include the owner’s manual or the remote.  It will be carefully packaged, insured, and shipped to you.  One note: if you’re familiar with the unit you’ll know there are special transit screws that lock the tape loading drawer in place for shipping.  These screws will be in place.  This unit is very heavy and I want it to arrive on your doorstep in one piece in working condition.
