Description
Well, this may certainly be a very rare chance to own A Sony TC-366 open-reel tape deck in such an "AMAZING" condition & for it to look as nearly as good as this one! In this sort of condition, it belongs to an audio museum or something! No questions about it!! MIND BLOWING & S T U N N I N G is the word here folks! See the recent auction that I had just recently for another Technics open-reel deck from my vintage audio collection which was for a RS-17000US which sold to a Technics collector all the way form England for $2,650. Auction # is: 320251436391. Also here is the EAXT feedback that was left for it by its happy buyer: "Outstanding seller, would not hesitate to buy from him again. Highly recommended" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful & versatile vintage Sony TC-366 4-track playback/recording 7” open-reel tape deck in utterly fantastic cosmetic condition & also like new working condition as well! I would be very surprised if there are many TC-366s like it are left anywhere in the world! Or if one like it will shows up any time soon for sale anywhere unless there is another one somewhere that is still in the box that has been left in the Sony warehouse in Japan! Vintage, two-tone silver/dark gray finish Sony TC-366 4-track open-reel tape deck in truly stunning condition with VERY LOW hours of actual usage! This is most probably one of the nicest examples of this classic open-reel deck left in the entire world & the only one that is being offered for sale anywhere in such an amazing shape!! Just see how the face plate & the knobs gleam like jewels! Another ULTRA fine & ULTRA rare item from my world reknown private vintage audio collection! See the recent auctions that I have had in the recent times to just get a feel of the “high caliber” of the vintage audio units that I occasion offer on eBay from my own collection! Also here are a few other of my recent top vintage audio auctions: Nakamichi 1000 ZXL cassette deck Technics RS-1500US open-reel deck Technics RS-1700US open-reel deck Technics RS-M95 cassette deck Technics SH-8600 sound analyzer Pioneer A-77X integrated amplifier Akai AM-2950 integrated amplifier So don't you miss this one! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As it is ALWAYS the case with all my auctions, all the pictures in the auction are of the actual wonderful item that you will be bidding on! You will not find a bargain basement item in this auction as the following item is not cheap & has a high starting bid for all the right reasons! The equation is simple here however: You'll pay top dollars for a top premium quality vintage audio item as I have myself! =========================== A WORD BEFORE YOU START READING THIS AUCTION: Dear fellow eBay member/vintage audio enthusiast; Sorry, the vintage open-reel deck in this auction is not one of those bought in a garage sale or some unknown & questionable so called ''estate sale'' or one of those that worked OK when it was used 15 years ago! No, the vintage open-reel deck in the following auction is not one of those Mickey mouse ones & is not cheap & is not for everyone either. So with all due respect, if you're looking for something for the garage or the gym room, I'm afraid that you'll need to look somewhere else & save your time (& mine in the process too!). What I occasionally sell from my private vintage audio collection mainly due to lack of space, has cost me premium dollars & time I can not possibly afford to start the auctions for them at $0.99 as you wouldn't either! I want to only reach a certain community within eBay who knows what this open-reel deck is all about & knows its value in this sort of amazing condition! Vintage audio is pretty much all I do on eBay & is what I know. I'm indeed the kind of person that you would love to buy your vintage audio units from as many have from all the 4 corners of the world as far as Australia & yes even Japan itself & come back again and again looking for more & more! Don't waste your time & money on units that seem like the deal of the century at funny looking prices as in most cases, well, that's all that they are really worth! By comparison, units from my collection are all in top notch condition & will only appreciate in value as time goes by. This particular deck is a SERIOUS collector's item & as such is only intended for the SERIOUS collectors!Only those true vintage collectors who would appreciate such a well preserved vintage audio component need to read further! Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vintage audio collectors & especially vintage era Sony collectors rejoice! This is the auction that you may have been waiting for months, months & months (if not years!)! This is it folks! The Sony TC-366 7'' open-reel deck! Very proudly offered here exclusively through this eBay auction "worldwide" in meuseum condition directly from my private renown vintage audio collection! Simply put, another complete package Sony TC-366 looking like this one may never show up for sale anywhere again! The history of the deck: Sony's TC-366 is a classic reel-to-reel tape deck made by Sony for a long production of 4 years from 1971-1973 due to its popularity. It's a 4-track stereo deck with playback both in stereo or mono. It has a 3-head design with full monitoring capabilities. It accepts up to 7'' reels in size. TC-366 is one of the most popular used reel-to-reel decks on the market today from Sony. It has very good sound and performance & easily exceeds the expectations from a compact size open-reel deck! The TC-366 can be used both in vertical or horizontal position thanks to its special sloped cabinet design! I purchased this wonderfully preserved vintage Sony deck from its original owner who may had usd it for a total of 40 hours since he bought it brand! This deck plus some other vintage Sony units that I already had, has been in the Sony section of my vintage audio collection for some time now. Due to the vastness of my own collection, I may have used it for another 5 hours ever since myself if that much! Due to lack of space after moving to our new house, I was forced to sell many of my units to lucky eBayers who boght them from all over the world! The deck simply put is in unbeleivable ''Collector's Condition''! Hello Paul; Thanks for your email & interest! Here are some more notes that I have pre-pared on this very nice deck which I will also add to the auction: Main Specifications: Speeds: 1 7/8, 3 3/4 & 7 1/2. 3-Head system (playback X1, record X1 and erase X1). Dimensions: 16 1/2'' (Wide) X 8 1/2'' (deep) X 15'' (high). Weight: 22.5 lbs. The cosmetic condition of the Sony TC-366 deck: In one word, the unit is still in MIND BLOWING & ULTRA CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL CONDITION BOTH INSIDE & OUT after all these years! Good heavens, it looks almost like a new TC-366 deck!!!!! You will be utterly PROUD to show off this stunner to your friends as I have been! However, if you want to hear more (as I know you that you’d just love to!) here it is folks: The stunning face plate & the gorgeous wood case are in just awesome shape and just about perfect with only a very few slightest of imperfections if any that can not be easily seen unless you spend a few hous trying to find them! Good luck! The entire face plate & the wood case (made of particle board with wood-grain laminate) are just drop dead gorgeous! All the edges & 4 corners are sharp as a knife & all the ORIGINAL & beautiful letterings are perfect 10/10, all the ORIGINAL knobs, switches & buttons are perfect 10/10 as well. The rear panel cover is also in fantastic 10/10 condition. All the RCA jacks on the side are all excellent & 100% original & solid. The original AC cord is also perfect 10/10. The meters clear lenses are also perfect 10/10 with no scratches. The wood case which are usually in very poor condition on these vintage units, is just about perfect condition as it was when Sony made in Japan all those years ago with only a very few minor imperfections if any! Even the bottom of the wood case lloks fantastic with no marks or scratches! (see the picture of it in the auction). Now as much as I try to describe the ''incredible'' cosmetic condition of the deck by using words, I think that each single large, high resolution picture of the deck tells a thousand words & they really do tell the story! Again all the buttons, knobs & switches on the deck are still 100% original with no scratches or marks & just gleam! The original & beautiful Sony dust cover that also comes with the deck is also in fantastic condition with no major scratches or cracks at all & with only some very mibor usual swirl marks that are so faint however! The technical/working condition of the Sony TC-366 deck: In one word it is in 100% perfect & the deck plays & also records just like a new TC-366 would & all the functions & lights are PREFECT 10/10. The playback & also the recording sound quality of the deck is just out of this world! The deck records so well that when you are recording & you monitor the sound using the TAPE/SOURCE monitor switch on the deck & flip between "SOURCE" & "TAPE" it is very difficult to say which is which! All the lights are still original & perfect. All the many knobs, buttons & switches work perefect 10/10 with no statics or noise. All the the functions keys work fine & the FF & REW work just fine as well! The 2 meters & their REC light inicators work perfectly as well. The 3-heads (play, rec & erase) & the pinch roller look just fantastic with pretty much NO signs of any wear at all & they just shine and all are in FANTASTIC original condition! They look like new heads! So I have for you consideration, this very clean looking & almost perfectly working, Sony TC-366 open-reel deck in its original glory condition! The overall cosmetic & working condition of this vintage unit truly boggles the mind & drops the good old jaws half a feet! As nice as the unit looks in its many, many large, high res pictures, If you're lucky to eventually see it in person by wining this auction for it, you'll be simply blown away by it! Both by the looks & the amazing features & not to mention TRULY FANTASTIC sound quality!! Extremely detailed, sweet, tube like & silky smooth! The unit is just pretty much drop dead gorgeous in every imaginable way! Here's your very, very ultra rare chance to buy this legendary deck in the above described fantastic condition! As it is now pretty much customary for all my vintage audio units to come with some kind of a special & rare bonus, I will also include the following very neat (and very valuable!) items for the lucky winner of it as the icing on the cake! They are: > 2 original Sony reel stoppers! > The original owner's manual! > The original head cleaning guide! > The original dust cover for TC-366! > The original shipping box & material! > The original Sony 7'' blank plastic take-up reel! Now all these are the tasty icing on an already wonderful cake or what?NOTE: The additinal plastic reel that is seen in a few of the pictures of the deck is only for the show purposes & is NOT included with the deck. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canadian vintage audio collectors take note: Not very often this deck is offered right here in Canada!
