Description  Here we have a glowing example of a stock, unmodified, operating to FULL FACTORY SPECIFICATION Technics RS-1500 US.  Mechanically this deck is FULLY SOUND!  I had Adrian at APS RESTORE this machine to factory spec.  It works and sounds like a dream.  I have made recordings with it, played the various types of playback tapes it can play, fast forwarded, rewound, cued...the whole nine yards...everything works PERFECT, WITH NO CRACKLY POTS, NO BURNT OUT VU LIGHTS, NO BAD SWITCHES AND NOTHING IS MISSING!  I realize the NAB hubs aren't original, but some would argue (me included) that they're not condusive to quick 10" reel change...they are Teac and they are included.Cosmetically, this deck has seen some major use.  I won't lie and hype how clean it is when it isn't.  Now that's not saying it's awful, it's just not perfect clean.  It's a "from a distance" clean and would be no disgrace to ANYONE'S rig.  Everyone has had the "wow, look at that", not the "dude, that machine needs some help" response.There are pics showing the reel rub (10" reels that get off balance from tape being fast forwarded too much or bent reels rubbing against the deck), some pitting on the head block cover, dings and scratching on the top edge (not the top plate ironically enough), some light scuffs and dings in the wood panels...the biggest would be the feet.  Two of them broke the masonite board.  It's been glued and reset, but you can still see it, but it's solid.  If you wanted to make it a table top and not use it upright, you certainly could.  The other feet too have breakage (my guess is from what ever happened to the back feet happened to the bottom) as one foot has the front piece broke off...again, only about 1/2" broke off and it's rock solid to stand up.I will ship anywhere, but just know, this ISN'T the voltage convertable version of this...that's the RS-1500.  Please email me quotes for shipping outside the USA.Is there anything I forgot to mention?  Please email me with any questions if there is!MOST IMPORTANT!  I DO KNOW HOW TO PACK A TIGHT BOX THAT CAN BE SHIPPED WITHOUT DAMAGE!  I HAVE BOIUGHT SO MANY THINGS RECENTLY THAT HAVE COME IN PIECES THAT I WANT TO RE-ASSURE YOU I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.  DOUBLE BOXING, POLYURETHANE SHEET FOAM (the stiff kind that can take an impact and not crumble) & BUBBLE WRAP WILL ALL BE USED.  NO PEANUTS!   AND NO CHRISTMAS-I-CAN-SHAKE-IT-TO-SEE-WHAT'S-INSIDE CRAP...IT WILL BE TIGHT AND SOLID...THE REEL HUBS AND HEAD BLOCK WILL BE PROTECTED!Thanks for looking and HAPPY BIDDING!
