This is an auction for one, vintage hifi, UTC LS-21 Interstage Transformer. This is one of the finest sounding, top of the line, audio transformers ever made. It appears New In Box, New Old Stock; quite a rarity. Listed in UTC catalogs as an Interstage Transformer with 1:3 overall step-up ratio; 15KOhm  Primary Impedance, with 0 DC; to 135KOhm Secondary, both have split windings, making this versatile, as it can be used for Single Plate or Push-Pull Plates to Single or Push-Pull Grids. Wide bandwidth frequency response is listed as 20-20,000 cps, with a maximum level of +20 dbm as well as a relative hum level of -74db. Using my trusty VOM and LCR meters, I measured this UTC LS-21, obtaining DCResistances of 443 Ohms-CT-338 Ohms, 781 Ohms overall primary DCR. The secondary winding is 3.57KOhms Center Tapped, with 580H each half secondary. The test of primary inductance to leakage reactance yielded the amazingly high fidelity result of  230H/114 mH with 56H measured at each half primary. These test results do indicate the fantastic sound quality this interstage driver trans. possesses. This will work extraordinarily well in Class A Triode amps, driving 2A3, 245, 250, 275, 300B, et. al. tubes. The UTC LS, Laboratory Series, transformers were the United Transformer Corp. finest, top of the line, offerings. This unit is in the familiar LS-1 case, measuring 3 1/8" x 2 5/8" x 3 1/4"H, with mounting holes at 2 7/16" x 1 15/16", plus the 1 7/8" diameter cutout needed; unless you mount this on top of stacked washers, which would reduce that hole size. This unit has a few minor scratches and scuffs, as you can see in the pictures. There is no paperwork included, but the unit and original box will be packed very, very well. UTC LS-21 is a highly sought after and very collectible transformer.
