This is an auction for two, vintage tube hifi, UTC LS-26 Interstage Bridging Transformers; one is New in it's box. These are some of the finest sounding, top of the line, audio transformers ever made. These can be used as Input, Matching or Interstage transformers.  Listed in UTC catalogs as a Bridging to Grid or Grids  Interstage Transformer with 5KOhm  Primary Impedance with 0 DC; to 60KOhm Secondary in two sections,  having split secondary windings, making this even more versatile. These can be used for Single Plate or Line to Single or Push-Pull Grids. Wide bandwidth frequency response is listed as 15-20,000 cps, with a maximum level of +23 dbm, as well as a relative hum level of -74 db. I have used this type of transformer in my own audio amp experiments. This number can be used, very successfully, as an Interstage Driver transformer, loading the driver tube with a plate choke and capacitor coupling the driver tube to this transformer, driving the output tubes. My test results  revealed these transformers possess fantastic sound quality. These will work extraordinarily well in Class A Triode amps, driving 2A3, 245, 250, 275, 300B, et. al. tubes. These LS-26 transformers can also work very well matching many line level inputs to tube grids. These high fidelity audio transformers are very desireable for home hifi and many sound studio applications. The UTC LS, Laboratory Series, transformers were the United Transformer Corp. finest, top of the line, offerings. This unit is in the familiar LS-1 case, measuring 3 1/8" x 2 5/8" x 3 1/4"H, with mounting holes at 2 7/16" x 1 15/16", plus the 1 7/8" diameter cutout needed; unless you mount these on top of stacked washers, which would reduce that hole size. These have a few minor scratches, scuffs, and nicks, as you can see in the pictures. There is no paperwork included, but the units and one original box will be packed very, very well. UTC LS- transformers are highly sought after and very collectible transformers, because of their excellent, superior sonic qualities.
