This is an auction for one, vintage tube hifi, UTC LS-55 Output Transformer. This is one of the finest sounding, top of the line, audio output transformers ever made. It has never been soldered, so it is New Old Stock; quite a rarity. Listed in UTC catalogs as a Push-Pull, High Fidelity Output Transformer to Voice Coil Speaker or Line, with 5K Ohm  or 3K Ohm Primary Impedance;  Speaker or Line Secondaries can be configured for 1.2, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 125, 200, 250, 333, or 500 Ohm nominal impedances. Wide bandwidth frequency response is listed as + or - 1 db 7-50,000 cps, with a maximum level of 20 Watts. This will work extraordinarily well in Class A and Class AB Triode Tube amplifiers, using 2A3, 275A, 300B, triode KT66 and 6L6G, EL34 et. al. output tubes. The UTC LS, Laboratory Series, transformers were the United Transformer Corp. finest, top of the line, offerings. This unit is in the familiar LS-2 die-cast, extruded case, measuring 4 7/16" x 3 7/16" x 4 3/16"H, with mounting holes at 2 11/16" x 3 11/16", plus the 2 7/16" diameter cutout needed to clear the solder terminals; unless you mount this on top of stacked washers, which would reduce that hole size. Cosmetically, this unit is in Very Good condition, with a few minor scratches and light scuffs, as you can see in the pictures. There is no paperwork included, but the unit will be packed very, very well. UTC LS-55 is one of the most highly sought after hifi output transformers, because of it's superior sonic qualities. Please check the pictures, carefully, as this is the vintage item you will receive.  The six inch ruler, shown for scale size, is not included.
