I do not use manufacturer's pictures.   The 3 Legends of Mobile Fidelity Come Together:   Alpine 7909J Alpine 3900 DAC Alpine 5957s    This auction includes the legendary Alpine 7909J Head Unit, the Pure Audiophile Grade 3900 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter, the matching CD changer for 7909, THE 5957s!   Alpine 7909J Copper Case This is 7909 on STERIODS   This is a peaceful mission folks, all you 7909 owners please take no offense...After all, 7909 is and continues to be an incredible head unit. It's just that 7909J is better sounding and here’s why:   1.) 7909 has the "pull out" feature. Basically, you can slide out the head unit from your dash. While so many people jump up and down yelling "that’s cool," the Alpine engineers in Japan see it as a fault. The pull out feature results in each connection, each contact meeting a barrier that prevents a consistent signal flow …the 7909 basically plugs into its cage. In other words, the signal is sent, met by the cage terminals but still needs to send that signal to your amplifier...it's not a constant flow. 7909J on the other hand does not have the pull out feature and, each connection, each contact has a direct path to your amplifier. Believe me, that pull out feature was a major failure in the 7909.   2.) 7909J has a "Black Out" button. Press it and all lights on the head unit are turned off, identical to F1 7990. This allows a cleaner signal as a result of less interference. 7909 does not have that feature only 7909J does. While we're at that, this 7909J comes with a copper case.   3.) 7909 does not have a copper case, 7909J does! 4.) Vocals with 7909J are more evident. There's more detail with out the brightness that 7909 has.      Alpine 3900 DAC - Digital to Analog Converter.   The last time I saw one of these on eBay was about two years ago This is the best of the best even to this day...3900 DAC is regarded by many audiophiles as the World's Best DAC for mobile car audio. 100% made in Japan. It features a copper case to prevent electrical interferences that too often occur with in a car's environment..   Alpine 5957S Six Pack CD CHANGER.   If you plan on using a CD changer, go with one of the best…an Alpine 5957s. Controlled by your Head Unit, 7909 and fed by 3900 DAC, the competition will beg for mercy. Just remember...a good amplifier/s, speakers and cables are all crucial.  All cables for all three items are included in this auction. All three units are fully tested and they perform flawlessly. These are used and therefore show signs of use but in all honesty the condition of all three units are presentable. I'm not going to count every little mark I can find only to miss one and have some miserable person flip out because of a mark I missed. I took 12 pictures to give you a good indication of the condition. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to get then answered. The radio frequency is for Japan only. Either way, 7909J was never about radio, it's how it makes your CD's sing. That's what Alpine 7909J is about. If you would like, I can include FREE OF CHARGE, a frequency adapter for radio listeners.
