I record at home and needed good headphones for mixing/monitoring, also I wanted a pair i could plug into my ipod without them sounding whimpy. I did my homework checked all the sites and these are the BEST headphones out there under $500. They sound amazing, natural surround sound, great highs, and deep bass. The frequency response extends way beyond what the human ear can pick up, so even at the lowest volumes you are picking up the slightest details. They are made from durable plastic so they are lightweight, and they have velvet earpads for longterm use which makes them ultra comfortable. They even look cool. Most studiophile headphones look bland and horrible. These are stylish and have some flair to them. The downside to these are: if you wear them you will look extremely cool, after you've listened to them you'll have a hardtime listening to your ipod stock headphones anymore, and they are made of plastic so first impressions are that they're cheap, but they're NOT. These are proffesional quality headphones and only perform at proffessional quality.       So why am i selling them? I bought them to record and i needed closed back headphones. I didn't realize they were open backed headphones and i need close back headphones for monitering. To return them to the store required a 15% restocking fee. So i'm cutting my losses and selling them for exactly what i bought them for during the sale. The sale is over now and prices have risin back up to $250.
