Description This auction is for the original AKAI 280D-SS 4 Channel Sorround Sound reel to reel shown in our photograph. This machine is probably one of the nicest examples of a 280D-SS that you can find. This Akai was purchased from the estate of the original owner who always kept his machines / stereo equipment in excellent condition. The photographs show exactly how nice this machine is.   We could not do any testing beyond powering it on because we are missing the remote control jumper plug. Heads are in excellent condition and they look like they have zero wear on them (some slight tape build up but that will clean right off. It'll be done before the machine is shipped. A copy of the owners manual will be included with the machine. This lot will be sold as-is, as-shown and without reserve to the highest bidder.
