Powered byAuctionSound Item Description Up for auction is a nice set of Vintage JBL Apollo LE15A Speakers with wooden cabinets. These speakers are pre 1960's, (Correction: We believe these are from 1970), they were stored in dry storage for over 30 years amongst furniture grade hardwood planking that acted as a humidor. The outer rings of the woofers are still soft and suptle and all original.(Correction: We are not sure if these are original, but they ARE soft and suptle as stated). These speakers have only been used on tube amplification and have only seen modern amplification over the last few years a few times to test them out. They are very loud, clear and are guaranteed to work with no crackling, fuzzing as they were intended to over 35 years ago. The owner of these speakers took them apart to see the serial numbers and to take photos but they will be ready to go fully reassembled. The red wax seals are still on the drivers. These speakers are in EXCELLENT ready-to-use condition! Not only are they a great set of vintage speakers but they double as end tables! There are some minor cosmetic issues which are all photographed. Some very slight discoloration or water stains are on the tops, some of the pictures actually make these more noticeable than in person. There are also some broken pieces on the front of one of the speaker grills, some (not all) of these pieces will be included so that you could glue them back in place Following are the details and specs: 8ohm LE 85 Drivers Serial # 9759 H91 Throats and Lenses Serial# 14356 8 ohm LE 15A 15" Woofers Serial # 12360 Bi-Ampable LX 5 X-Over Serial # 15078.
