I don't know if it works, all I can tell you is the reel spins smoothly and quietly in fast forward and rewind, The two speeds seem to work 7-1/2 and 3-3/4 IPS. The meters woked when I plugged a guitar in the right and left inputs.It says it's a three motor direct drive auto reverse. and it looks like you can play the tape forwards and backwards. I can't guarrantee it records or plays because I could not check the heads but every knob seems to be doing what it's supposed to. Being sold as is Place a Bid!
