You are bidding on an AKAI GX-230d three motor direct drive auto reverse reel to reel tape deck.  As I hope you can tell from the pictures, this deck is very clean and comes in its original box.  Prior to preparing this listing, I recorded an entire CD on this machine and then played it back simultaneously with the CD playing.  When switching between tape and source, I can not hear any difference so it really does a good job recording.  I am sure the new owner will want to clean and demagnetize the heads but it is literally ready to use right out of the box.  The only flaw I can find in it is the left "post" where the tape mounts to the deck isn't perfectly straight.  I am sure it can be straightened out but I don't want to force it.  This in no way effects the deck's performance but I try to mention everything and I am being pretty picky here.This deck came from the original owner and includes the AKAI dustcover.  The dustcover looks good from the front but the lower right corner is cracked.  The metal reels in the picture are not included with this auction but are also on eBay right now.  If you win both, I will combine shipping.  This deck has two recording speeds, 7 1/2 and 3 3/4.  It's auto reverse and has a headphone jack and 2 mic inputs.   If you're in need of a good ole reel to reel that's clean and functional, this one deserves your consideration.  Please email any questions.NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ONLY.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR COUNTRY WILL ACCEPT A BOX OF THIS SIZE THROUGH THE USPS.  YOU CAN GO TO USPS.COM AND FIND THE MAX DIMENSIONS FOR YOUR COUNTRY.  IF YOU CANT FIND IT, LET ME KNOW AND I'LL LOOK IT UP FOR YOU.  ALSO, I CAN NOT LOWER THE VALUE FOR CUSTOMS AND IMPORT TAXES, SO PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN BIDDING.
