Description Vintage HELIX GhettoBlaster BoomBox 4635 / Conion RARE! This is for a hard to find Vintage HELIX Ghetto Blaster / Boombox from the 80's. I don't have alot of knowledge of these but I did do a little research on them. This model is HX-4635, one of the most rare and sought out Ghetto Blasters. Though my research I found that there were others made just like this one but just different model numbers or under a different name. The following Models I found were: Conion C-100F, Conion C-100FL, & Clairtone 7980I could be mistaken, but I am doing my best to describe this.Ok Here Goes:This Boombox is a MONSTER!  HUGE!  I MEAN HEAVY!  (at least for me!) It is a little over 29" in length, 15" height, 6.5" depth, and weight is 25 lbs (unpacked)Does it work?Powers On - YES Tune in Radio Station - YES Do those little disco blinking lights work? - YES Are all the buttons / knobs present? - YES - Except for two, the Mixing level button and the Rec level button are missing, but you can still turn them. Are the speakers working? - YES Do the dials turn properly? - YES (except cassette players) Are the antennas working/present? - NO Do both the cassettes work? - NO & Cassette door missing on tape 1 Does it need a good cleaning?- YES Show scratches / wear? - YES Do I think it's in good condition? - YES and If you were to give it some TLC, Do I the (seller) think it would just be a jem, if you the (buyer) have the knowledge to make repairs & give it Love! - YES! Is it LOUD? - YES! Even though the antennas are missing, I was still able find a strong FM station and crank it up LOUD & it sounded great! (my family yelled at me,to turn it down!)The speakers sounded good to me. I didn't hear any weird static, or anything that sounded broke. The casing is missing a screw or two on the back, I'm guessing.The bottom cassette is very dirtyPart of one the feet is broke, but it sits flat just fine!All knob/buttons seem to work just fine. (excluding cassette buttons)I was not able to play any cassettes. I am just going to say that the buttons don't work either, maybe they do or will at some time, but I rather just say they don't.Overall, I think the only real work will be on the (2) tape players, and replacing the antenna's. Although I am not very knowledgeable about this, I do know they are in high demand, even if you have to put a little work into it.
