This is in very nice condition, and works fine on AC and DC. And there is no switch for switching of power type, the radio automatically cuts battery current with AC input. The radio is multiband of 6 different band ranges; SW~ for short wave reception 4.0-12.0 MHz MB~ for marine band reception 1.6-4.0 MHz AM~ for standard AM broadcast 540-1600 MHz FM~ for standard FM stations 88-108 MHz AIR~  for Air-Craft VHF bands 110-140 MHz PB~ for VHF Police Band 147-174 MHz There is also a button for pushing and lighting the dial for operating in the dark. Twin telescoping antenna, both staight and work nice. Has external jack for earphone and external antenna jacks for better reception of the MB or SW bands. World map and time zone dial. Leather wrap case with four round metal feet. Uses 4 D size batteries, and the battery compartment is as clean as new. Includes the Owner's Guide. Measures 11" long x 10 1/2" tall (closed) x 4 1/2" in depth. I have tested this on both AC and DC power and all 6 bands work fine. Very Nice Looking Radio. Check out my other items!
