Weltron 2001 8 Track Stereo Tape Player Space Helmet  Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 142.50 Time Left - Bid Count 12 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, August 26, 2008 End Time Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Location Cincinnati, OH See more about 'Weltron 2001 8 Track Stereo Tape Player Space Helmet ' Description Old Acushnet Bulls Eye Putter Heavy Blade Weltron 2001 8 Track Stereo Tape Player Space Helmet  This classic from the seventies is in great condition.  It plays great; loud and clear.  No static in the control sliders.  The 8 track played just fine and tracks changed like they should.  The outside is nice and shiny with very little marks and scratches.  It has very little yellowing on the white plastic in a few places.  The chrome ring around the bezel is excellent with no finish loss.  The dial face is also in very good condition.  All of the lights work.  Tuning is smooth with no static.  The antenna is complete and fully extends and retracts.  I tested it with AC only.  The battery compartment is clean and shows no signs of corrosion, however on one spring, where it slides into the grove, there is some rust.  I checked the spring with a meter and it checks just fine, so I am sure it would have no effect on conducting current if you wanted to use batteries.  The rubber on the base is soft and pliable.   I am including lots of photos, so I apologize to all of the dial up users, but want you to see what your bidding on.   Thanks for looking.  Any questions, ask. I live life both here and out in the real world believing that people in general are good honest people just like me.  The appeal of eBay to me is it allows us to expand our treasure hunting to a national or even global scope.  I'm always on the lookout for that special item or that super bargain.   I Normally don't use a reserve and start my auctions at a low minimum bid, or use the fixed price format.  I normally don't include Buy it now's with my auctions.  My preferred method of payment is Paypal.  I will also accept certified check or money order.  All non US bidders must pay via Paypal.  Some items I list as shipping to US only, usually because the increased shipping costs makes it uneconomical to ship overseas.   Also make sure that if English is not your native language, that you fully understand the description and my terms.  Anyone bidding from outside of the US must pay via Paypal only. You will add shipping to final bid price. I estimate shipping weight before packaging so there are times I may be a pound or two off, but I'm not looking to make money with bogus shipping charges.  I can ship via USPS, UPS, and FEDEX.  eBay does not have a shipping calculator for FedEx, but you can go to their website and calculate costs from 45246.  I have found Fedex to have good rates, especially to the west.  If you would like FedEx let me know so I can invoice accordingly.   International shipping I use a third party shipping agent so shipping includes a service charge and is slightly higher that actual costs, usually about 20%.  If this is unacceptable, please do not bid.  The costs in the eBay shipping calculator includes this charge.
