Description
You are bidding on a vintage Zenith Twelve Band Trans Oceanic R7000-2 shortwave radio. This radio belong to my father and has not been used for over 20 years (stored) and probably considerably longer than that. I tested this radio on both AC and DC (8 "D" cell batteries) power and received signal on all bands with each. The following is a description to the best of my ability/knowledge:I will not go into a detailed description of the functionality - if you are reading this, you know how this radio is configured. All dials, switches, meters and lights function as designed (the dial light and battery meter switch positions work on DC only - the meter position of that switch works on both AC and DC - as designed). All dials are smooth and all switches tight. The rotary band switch is tight and click stops true on every band. The antenna is straight, true and smooth to full extension. The antenna angle mechanism is tight. The speaker is crisp and clear to full volume. The handle is tight and functions flawlessly. Overall the radio is cosmetically excellent. All hard and soft exterior black surfaces are clear. There are no wear marks around any dial or switch. The metal parts of the top show some light depressions and very, very light pitting. I have included two photos showing a crease on the front right corner of the metal part of the top and a scratch on the top of the metal part of the handle. These are the only two blemishes I believe need to be noted. These photos also give a good idea of the overall condition of the metal top. Original power cord is included. The logbook is missing.Due to the fact that this is a "vintage" piece of electronics, it is sold "as-is." No refunds or returns. If you have any questions, e-mail me and I will answer as best as I can. Please see my 10 years on eBay/100% positive feedback rating.Payment via PayPal (PayPal only accepted from Verified buyers with a "Confirmed Address") or U.S. Postal Money Order only. I require insurance and confirmation on all shipments.I SHIP TO U.S. LOWER 48 ONLY (I MAY MAKE AN EXCEPTION TO ALASKA, HAWAII, AND CANADA (IF YOU CAN STAND THE COST) E-MAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING)SHIPPING IS ACTUAL COST - USPS PRIORITY MAIL INSURED W/CONFIRMATIONAll shipments are sent using confirmation. This is done for both parties - to guarantee that the product did get shipped and allow both parties to track the item once shipped. This helps eliminate claims being filed prematurely and to assure both parties have a fair exchange. I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged packages - period. If your package is lost or damaged, that is what insurance is for and there is a process to follow described on the USPS website. It is also very easy to file a claim with PayPal. All items are packed very well, but I have no control over how they are handled or what happens to them during shipment.
